Program Course Sequence
Poker Dealer Certificate:
- Graduates will come out with a certificate that can be used at any Pennsylvania casino and is valid for five years. Additional courses will be offered as needed after the casino opens.
- Casino dealers must be trained in casino game rules, procedures and dealing techniques. Many dealers complete programs at specialized dealer or technical schools and earn a certificate. Some community colleges have programs for dealers as well. In addition, some casinos have in-house training programs for dealers.
- Many casino dealers have attended a dealer school either provided by the casino itself or through a vocational school. Gaming programs are common in areas where casinos thrive and typically take no.
Niagara Gaming Academy was established in 2008 as a private training school to provide job training for people interested in careers as casino dealers.
