Crockfords (also known as Crockfords Club or Crockfords Casino) is a casino in London located on Curzon Street.[1][2][3] The casino is located near and based on the former gentlemen's club in London called Crockford's.
In September 1999, Kerry Packer reportedly lost £11 million ($16.5 million) at Crockfords overtaking the previous British record loss at the time of £8 million by Greek millionaire Frank Saracakis, which also occurred at Crockfords.[4]

In 2012, poker player Phil Ivey, won £7.7 million after beating the casino in a session of punto banco baccarat, but was refused payment due to allegations of edge sorting. Ivey admitted to edge sorting, considering it a legitimate strategy and later sued the casino, but the court ruled in favor of Crockfords, stating Ivey was 'cheating under civil law'.[5] Ivey appealed this ruling, but lost his appeal in October 2017 in the UK Supreme Court.[6]

What did the project involve?
As part of this £4.6 million fit-out, Phelan was instructed to carry out the full refurbishment of the existing Grade II listed building and the newly-built shell and core to create this new gaming venue set over three-storeys.
The work included a full fit-out to all areas with new mechanical, electrical and plumbing throughout the vast building. The casino space was populated with 18 gaming tables, 35 slot machines and 24 automated live gaming terminals.
In addition to the beautifully designed gaming floors, Phelan also worked on the magnificent Beau Nash Suite: an exclusive, elegant top floor room with its own balcony, available for private hire and gaming.
The casino formed part of a mixed leisure development, which also includes a 147-bedroom four-star Z hotel and Italian restaurant chain, Zizzi. As such, it was important for Phelan to operate logistically in a manner that caused as little disruption as possible to those utilising these venues, and that also considered the paramount importance of the public’s health and safety at all times.
Situated in the vibrant leisure district of central Bath, the Century Casino is the ultimate destination for gaming and entertainment and becomes the first UK casino for the international entertainment giant. This casino is now the ‘go-to’ venue in the centre of this historic city.
