In the green plot, we’ve played seven times and got two rewards, so our guess for $ thetak$ is more biased towards the left-hand side. As we play and gather evidence, our posterior distribution becomes more concentrated, as shown in the red, purple and brown plots. That a geometric distribution is needed to solve it. For example, “Say that a slot machine has five wheels, and each wheel has five symbols: an apple, a grape, a peach, a pear, and a plum. I pull the lever five times.
